J.C. PENNEY BRINGS THE BREAKFAST CLUB BACK

Old things just don’t stay dead - especially if they’re good old things.
Remember The Breakfast Club? That classic movie featuring Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson and a few other Brat Pack members? They’re back, thanks to J.C. Penney - or at least they’re back in spirit.
The department store has recreated The Breakfast Club in a new set of television and movie ads, aimed at using modern-day teenagers to recreate those old scenes from the original movie. The ads will promote five new clothing brands sold at the store, all aimed at teenagers (predictably enough).
The ads also feature a new cover of the movie’s theme “Don’t You (Forget About Me”, originally created by band Simple Mind.
(No, Estevez won’t be back. Just keep an eye out for his doppleganger.)
